Attention Students: iEG is Seeking Social Media, Digital Media and Graphic Design Interns!

iEatGrass is a Popular Healthy Lifestyle & Food Blog Seeking Energetic Graphic Design, Social Media and Digital Media interns.

Calling all students! iEG has big ideas for the year ahead. We’re thinking HUGE which means we have an opportunity to expand our team!

We are fast-growing and seeking motivated people to grow with us. We currently have three open internship positions. If graphic design, marketing and social media or digital media is your passion, and you’re pretty cool and professional, then we want YOU!

We have been featured in many major publications including VegNews, The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Laika Magazine, Grub Street, The Village Voice with appearances on Bravo TV, and BET Networks.

**Candidates for all opportunities should be looking to increase  exposure and hone skills in a fast paced inter-web business. These are unpaid and online-only positions. Interns can be located anywhere, and will gain experience and the possibility for additional opportunities within the company as we continue to grow. College credit will be given.

SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING INTERN


Duties will include: Managing our social media accounts via Hootsuite; Pinning from our Pinterest account; compiling our weekly newsletter and otherwise assisting to grow readership.
 Candidates may also occasionally be responsible for additional assignments and sit in on staff meetings via Google Hangout.
Commitment: 7 – 10 hours per week.

Candidates must:

  • Currently be studying marketing, public relations, media or similar fields.
  • Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excel at meeting deadlines.
  • Have social media experience.
  • Be excited to work with a fun team.
  • Be capable of a quick assignment turnaround.
  • Have a background or strong interest in vegan and plant-based lifestyles.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

Duties will include: Help design several components for iEatgrass.com including layout, logos, backgrounds and more. Assist with event promo material including fliers, banners, etc. Candidates may also occasionally be responsible for additional assignments and sit it on staff meetings via Google Hangout.
Commitment: 3-5 hours per week.

Candidates must:

  • Currently be studying graphic design or similar fields.
  • Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excel at meeting deadlines.
  • Be excited to work with a fun team.
  • Have a background or strong interest in vegan and plant-based lifestyles.
  • Have proficiency with all Microsoft Suite applications for both PC and Mac.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is a plus.

DIGITAL MEDIA INTERN

Duties will include: Helping to create ‘iEG TV’ – a series of 3 – 5 minute video clips of iEatGrass staffers that will be posted weekly. The videos will include cooking demos, beauty demos, interviews and news coverage. You will be responsible for creating an original intro and outro that will be included in all future iEG TV clips. Additionally, you will be asked to sit in on weekly virtual staff meetings held through Google Hangouts, and occasionally assisting with additional media projects as they arise.
Commitment: 5 hours per week.

Candidates must:

  • Possess the ability to download raw footage and edit 3-5 minute clips, one to three times per week, on a 24 hour turn-around.
  • Have a proven ability to work quickly and on a deadline.
  • Have a fun and open attitude – no haters!
  • Be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Be a team player! Be excited to work with a small yet growing company.
  • Have an interest in a plant-based, vegan lifestyle.
  • Have access to and experience with Final Cut Pro or Avid by Adobe.
