Katy Perry Announces 2014 “Prismactic” World Tour Dates

Get ready to hear her “ROAR!”

Katy Perry sent a Tweet out on Wednesday announcing the dates for her 2014 “Prismatic” world tour in North America.

“THE PRISMATIC WORLD TOUR is coming to light up some of my favorite North American cities this summer, as well as some new cities that you introduced me to through your video requests,” Katy said in a statement.

The “California Gurl” singer posted a video featuring a few of her fans explaining why she should come sing in their city.

The 46-city tour will kick off on June 22 in Raleigh, North Carolina and makes stops in major cites such as, Boston, Newark, Philadelphia, New Orleans and wrapping up in Houston.

Opening performances include Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves and Tegan and Sara.

Tickets go on sale January 27th but Facebook users can get an early start and purchase theirs early on January 23rd.  Katy is teaming up with Tickets-for-Charity to offer fans some of the best seats in the house to benefit important charitable causes, donating $1 from each ticket sold to UNICEF.

Before Katy hits the road in June, fans will be able to see her perform at this year’s Grammys – airing Jan. 26 on CBS — where she’ll be joined by other acts including Lorde, Kendrick Lamar with Imagine Dragons, Robin Thicke, Pink with Nate Ruess from Fun. and Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr performing for the first time together since 2009. Her song “Roar,” co-written with Bonnie McKee, is up for Song of the Year.
